American and British/Dutch (back-up) Eindhoven - Turn 14 - 21st September 1944
Nijmegen - Turn 12 - 21st September AM
During September 1944, the city saw heavy fighting during Operation Market Garden. The objective of the Battle of Nijmegen was mainly to prevent the Germans from destroying the bridges. Capturing the road bridge allowed the British Army XXX Corps to attempt to reach the 1st British Airborne Division in Arnhem. The bridge was heavily defended by over 300 German troops on both the north and south sides with close to 20 anti-tank guns and two anti-aircraft guns, supported with artillery.

The illustration above shows that the US 82nd Airbourne hold one side of the bridge and the Axis hold the other (see blue/grey tile marked 3-4-3). Throughout the game the 82nd mostly held onto Nijmegen.
Notes about the game

Airlanding Points (p23, rule 22.4)?

The rule calls for the use of air-landing points, it is not obvious where these come from, but you need to refer to the weather procedure (rule 4.4)
Clear weather 8 airlanding points
Cloudy weather 4 landing points
Overcast and night turns None

Airlanding points are received from Turn 3 onwards and cannot be accumulated. The number of airlanding points available is shown on the Weather Table on the map.

The Airlanding Table (p.21 (rule 22.3)) on player aid card is also used.

Presumably these airlanding points are used against the available reinforcements for that turn.

Turn 13: Reinforcements Köhnen KM Infantry KG (2-4-3) not found, neither on Boardgamegeek.com or on counter sheets.
